I just had the best and most memorable weekend and anniversary celebration with of course, my baby boy, Red. Every year, I never fail to put up a little something to surprise him. This year, our 7th anniversary, I asked him to plan everything for our celebration. I said its now time for him to surprise me or do whatever he wants to do on our very special day. Little did I know, he was already searching for the perfect and unusual date for us.

So, April 16 came, Red just said that we’re going to a lake in San Pablo Laguna. He told me not to worry about anything cos its under his control. 

We arrived at San Pablo, Laguna past 12 in the afternoon.

The way to Pandin Lake. You have to walk for about 10-15minutes to the lake itself. I wore a cardigan cos I forgot to bring an umbrella. Its so hot!

Upon getting on the raft, we were greeted by the bangkeras and given bukos to drink. Whats another unusual thing about the lake is, all their bangkeros are girls, all hospitable and nice. The trip was about 2-3 hours, we were toured around the lake and we had our lunch on our raft. For food, we had rice, salted egg enselada, ginataang hipon and banana. The meal was delicious, definitely like the ‘lutong bahay’ kinds of food.

Then stopped again at a shaded part of the lake to eat, take pictures and enjoy the serenity of the place.

Red went swimming. I wasn’t able to join him cos I forgot to wear my swimsuit.

After our trip at Pandin Lake, we went to Tahanan ni Aling Meding Bed & Breakfast. Its also in San Pablo, Laguna but its located in front of Sampaloc Lake. Our room had the perfect view of the lake, its very nice. The place itself is nice and very ‘homey.’ They say that the hotel was the former resthouse of the Borja Family and they just transformed their mansion into a hotel.

After resting for a few hours, we went to Kusina Salud (I forgot its new name) for our dinner. The place is like a big Filipino ancestral house that is converted into a restaurant. The furnitures are nice and the food was sumptuous!

For dinner, we ordered Diablo Inasal (Spicy Chicken Inasal with Binagoongang Talbos), Fried Mini Lumpiang Gulay and Garlic Rice. We also had the delicious Floating Island (Ube halaya, leche flan, macapuno and mango syrup with cream) It was heaven! :)

After dinner, we bought few bottles of beer and went back to our hotel.

It was really a perfect date/celebration for us. Kudos to Red for planning everything. I never thought that our 7th year celebration would be that memorable, fun and wonderful.

Thank you Baby Boy for everything, it really felt like I was in heaven with you. Cheers to forever! I love you! :)

Whew! Lots of things in my bag, kaya pala heavy ang bag ko. Lol. Will do this again. :)
